After attending this morning’s kick off I decided to reflect on my journey thus far. I’ve tired on my own to eat healthier and workout but I didn’t have enough motivation to last more than a few days. I never thought that I would have transformed myself. I thought I would just always be the “bigger” friend, child, cousin, etc and that was something that I would have to just accept. This program has given me the chance to become the person I’ve always wanted to be. Embracing this lifestyle wasn’t easy and I still struggle everyday, but nothing worth having comes easy. #themaxchallenge #takeittothemax

My last #transformationtuesday of 2013. I have always been so hard on myself. I lacked self confidence and self worth that was rooted in the way I saw myself. Although I tried not to show it the way I looked on the outside was a reflection of how I felt inside. This transformation goes beyond the physical. I’ve changed my outlook on life and how I perceive myself and I think that’s the greatest accomplishment I’ve made this year. The lessons I have learned have made me a better version of myself. If there is one thing to take from this past year it is that hard work pays off. As Abraham Lincoln said, “Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.” With that being said, 2014 I’m coming for you!

I’m not going to lie I have found comfort in the changes I’ve made in my life. I was pleased with the changes to my mind, body, and spirit, but I still have more work to do. I reached a plateau. I was getting comfortable. The only way I know how to move forward is to mix it up and continue to challenge myself. Many people seek comfort, but I refuse to be one of them. I believe you need to find ways to push yourself outside of your comfort zone because you will not see progress staying in the same place. Here’s to making moves and finishing 2013 much stronger than I started.
